Pri posameznih vrstah smo spremljali pogostnost, gostoto, čas pojavljanja ter gostiteljske rastline bolhačev in ocenjevali gospodarski pomen posameznih vrst. Zbran material je bil prepariran in naknadno determiniran. Evidentirali smo 62 vrst bolhačev in sicer iz naslednjih rodov: Longitarsus (20 vrst), Phyllotreta (9 vrst), Aphthona (6 vrst), Chaetocnema (6 vrst), Psylliodes (6 vrst), Altica (2 vrsti), Asiorestia (2 vrsti), Dibolia (2 vrsti), Podagrica (2 vrsti), Sphaeroderma (2 vrsti), Crepidodera (1 vrsta), Epitrix (1 vrsta), Hermaeophaga (1 vrsta), Hippuriphila (1 vrsta) in Lythraria (1 vrsta).

ABSTRACT

THE FIRST STUDY OF FLEA-BEETLES (Coleoptera: Chrysolmelidae) FAUNA IN THE AREA OF THE SAVINJA VALLEY

The article deals with the results of the study flea-beetles fauna in the Savinja valley, the area which has not been researched yet. It covers the period from the year 1997 to 1999. In our research we made use of terrain registers on chosen locations. We examined the frequency, the density, the time of appearance of particular species of flea-beetles and their host plants. In this way their economical significance was estimated. The collected material was prepared and subsequently defined. We evidenced 62 species of flea-beetles from the following genera: Longitarsus (20 species), Phyllotreta (9 species), Aphthona (6 species), Chaetocnema (6 species), Psylliodes (6 species), Altica (2 species), Asiorestia (2 species), Dibolia (2 species), Podagrica (2 species), Sphaeroderma (2 species), Crepidodera (1 species), Epitrix (1 species), Hermaeophaga (1 species), Hippuriphila (1 species) and Lythraria (1 species). The following species were found on cultivated plants: Psylliodes attenuata Koch on hops; Chaetocnema tibialis Illiger on beetroot; Psylliodes crysocephala Linne on round rape and long rape; Phyllotreta armoracia Koch on horse-radish; Phyllotreta nemorum Linne, P. undulata Kutschera and P. nigripes Fabricius on brassicas. Several over-reproductions of hop flea-beetles (Psylliodes attenuata Koch) were noticed on hops, furthermore cole flea-beetles (Phyllotreta spp.) on brassicas. Among the found beetles there are also some new species for the Slovenian fauna, namely Chaetocnema leavicollis (Thomson, 1866), Longitarsus lewisii (Baly, 1874), Longitarsus salviae (Gruev, 1975) in Phyllotreta astrachanica (Lopatin, 1977).
